Q: Where is Stevinson?
A: We are located two hours south of Sacramento, 45 minutes north of Los Banos, and 30 minutes East of Merced. Our address is 22368 West 2nd Avenue, Stevinson CA. GPS sometimes has a tough time locating us so, it's best to print out a map before you begin traveling.
Q: When are you open for events?
A: We are open seasonally from April through October.
Q: How can I visit your museum?
A: The Museum is open by appointment only. Please use the contact form to inquire about a date.
Q: Can I bring my own alcohol in for an event.
A: Beer and wine are included in all of our event packages. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
Q: What time should I tell my cake and flower vendors to deliver?
A: Cakes should be delivered and set up 2 hours prior to ceremony time. Cake vendors are responsible for setting up stacked cakes. Sheet cakes and cupcakes, (or something similar) can be delivered in the morning and stored. All vendors can deliver/set up between 8:30 am and noon the day of the event. The facility shuts down and doesn't reopen until 2 hours prior to ceremony time.
Q: How many guests can you accommodate?
A: Our facility is set up to host very large events comfortably.
Q: What is the smallest event you can accommodate?
A: Our packages are based on 100 guests minimum.
Q: What's not included in our event packages?
A: You are responsible for hiring your own; bakery, florist, officiant, and photographer.
Q: How do I schedule a tour?
A: Simply use our contact page to schedule a personal tour with our experienced event planners.
Q: Can I take a tour on a weekend or after work?
A: Absolutely! We can accommodate most schedules.
Q: As a bride, do you have accommodations for me and my attendants to get dressed?
A: We have a bridal staging area in the spacious train car of the History Train. It is available for the bride and entourage to get into their formal wear and is open for up to 2 hours prior to the ceremony. Please arrive with your hair/make-up done. It is air-conditioned and comfortable.
